What Causes Intense Pressure And Pain On Left Side Of Mouth?
I ve had this intense pressure pain on my left side of my mouth for over a week now :( It s tender to chew on that side but it doesn t seem to be an issue with teeth but the inside of my cheek! (cheek and jaw hurt) I don t know if I should book a doctors appt or dentist for this as I m not sure which area is causing the pain and discomfort!
As per your complain intense pain and pressure over the inside of cheek along with pain in jaw and cheek seems to be due to jaw joint problem while can also be related to parotid salivary gland in case if it gets infection or if the duct gets blocked you can feel pressure on cheek as well as some swelling can be appreciated.. You should consult an Oral Physician or a dentist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and Panoromic x ray along with MRI of the gland can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now you can do warm compresses over the cheek and take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. Take a soft diet..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards.
