What Causes Intense Prostate Pain After TURP Surgery?
4 months ago I had TURP surgery for the third time. I got no relieve from symptoms. I am having intense pain from my prostate. The pain is a burning pain. Which gets worse when I sit up or standup. Sometimes hitting a bump in car causes pain. NO over the counter pain has done any thing for this pain. My doctor is talking about more surgery Ive had enough. I would just like to know what is causing this pain. It burns when I urinate or when I try to urinate. MY doctor won t give me any pain meds I don t know what to. I would appreciate you opinion
Pain is quite common after TURP and is due to minor injuries and nerve damage. You can take analgesics like Gabapentin for symptomatic relief.
If pain persists, you can consult your urologist and get evaluated.
