What Causes Intense Throat Pain After Sneezing?

Yesterday I felt fine and, all of a sudden, I sneezed and, immediately thereafter I experienced sharp intense throat pain which has not gone away. I am 44 yeas old and don t ever recall getting a sore throat like that before....any ideas on what this could be?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The throat soreness can be because of the bacterial infection or secondary to allergy. Nothing to be panic. You need to take Antibiotic (like Cefixime, if you are not allergic), Analgesic(like Ibuprofen, if you are not allergic), Antacid(like Rantac),Vitamin tablet containing B-complex and vitamin C.
Also do warm saline gargles.Avoid self cleaning your ear with anything and avoid water going inside ear.Avoid spicy and oily food.

If after taking the above measures, your symptoms are not improving, then it would be advisable to consult an Otolaryngologist Doctor.
I hope I have answered your query, take care.
