What Causes Intense Vaginal Itchiness While On Cephalexin?
Hello! I was recently prescribed 500 mg of Cephalexin for an infection. I ve been taking one capsule every 6 hours. I m sorry for getting too personal but it s driving me insane. I have an INTENSE vaginal itch and I m pretty sure it was the medicine. What do I do? Will the itch go away by itself or will I have to see a doctor?

Antibiotics could harm beneficial bacteria of vagina and lead to yeast infection or other infections. If you have foul smell or discharge consult gynecologist. Your age and diabetic status also plays a role in this vaginal itching. Vaginal infections are also common with uncontrolled sugars.
