Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have suffered for nearly 2 years of a pain in my upper stomach. I had my gallbladder removed years ago and in dec 2014 I had a colonoscopy with negative results. I also had an endoscopy in june of 2015 also negative. The dr says IBM but the pain in my upper stomach feels like a tight knot which caused vomiting & nausa. The pain is SO intense for about 10-15 min then goes away as fast as it came on. I am MORTIFIED that it could be something worse but what do I do now? Should I have another endo or colonoscopy done?

What Causes Intensive Pain In The Upper Abdomen?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
