What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding After Taking Unwanted 72?

I had sex with my girlfriend on her 3rd day of period and after 1 hour she had taken unwanted 72 and next day her period stops and again after 6 days her bleeding started and it remain upto 7 days and her next period is on 26 th august but she is getting late in her period...does there is any problem?

Unwanted 72 is hormonal emergency contraceptive pill. It can cause hormonal imbalance in women which later on leads to irregular menses. So better to consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination and hormone levels to identify hormonal imbalance. She may need hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once her hormones are normalize, she will be alright. Better to avoid unprotected Intercourse if you don't want pregnancy and use condom.
