What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding And Swelling In The Feet?

Good evening! Im a 36 year old female with a history of PCOS and severe weight issues. In the last 2 years, I have been under the care of a GP who prescribed a compound containing weight loss drugs and hormones. I had excellent success until about 3 months ago. I slowly have been gaining weight back. I started at 290 and lost down to 225. This week, however, since Monday specifically, I have had a weight surge of almost 20 lbs, im having a second period in less than 3 weeks and my feet are swelling to twice their size. What could be causing this?

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Weight gain could be caused by hormonal imbalance including PCOS.Menstrual irregularities could also be caused by hormonal imbalances that come with PCOS.I will suggest you get reevaluated for this.
Weight gain however is as a result of imbalance between energy intake and expenditure. When energy from food you eat is more than energy used for your activities, the excess will be stored as fats in adipose tissues and proteins in muscles.I will suggest you try the following:
-See your Doctor for a new hormonal work-up
-Eat only when hungry
-Take small quantities and balanced diet with right proportions of all nutrients
-Get in to regular physical exercises
-Avoid junk foods and artificial sweeteners
You may also see a Nutritionist for nutritional advice and follow-up
Hope this will help
Best regards
