What Causes Inter Menstrual Vaginal Spotting?

2 years ago I had my tubes tied after my last baby. Lately I’ve been regretting it and feeling like I would really love another baby but medically the doctors warned it could be dangerous so I had my tubes done at the time. Today I notice that my period is very light flow and light in colour (unusual) and about 9 days early. I haven’t been cramping or had the usual symptoms of my period and I’m always very regular. Any idea what it could be? I have been under a lot of stress lately so perhaps that has affected it? Surely it can’t be early stages of pregnancy?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think, it is for sure that you are not pregnant since tube ligation is a definitive contraception method.

Menometrorhagia has many different causes and you have to do a complete gynecologic examination including a colposcopy and an ultrasound.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
