What Causes Intermediate Sharp Pain In Right Side Of Neck?

I woke up this morning with a headache on the right side at the base of my neck. It is increasing in frequency and sharper pain. It comes and goes. Then I lifted something heavy and carried it about 4 feet and my right lung area began to hurt. I was diagnosed with bronchitis about 2 weeks ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a muscle strain due to heavy lifting. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using magnesium supplement. Warm compresses can also be helpful in pain relief.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
