General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description, I am of the opinion that your doctor has prescribed medicines for your increased cholesterol and that is in the right direction to prevent coronary diseases that might be causing that pain.

Additionally, I would suggest you have Pantoprazole before breakfast to reduce any gas under the abdomen that also has a similar presentation. Have fewer fats and more fibers in food.

Psyllium husk at bedtime would be also useful. Even after these instructions if you don't feel relieved then you can for a 2D echocardiogram.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
