Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 16 year old daughter has a condition that happens to her probably 4-5 times a year and she thinks that maybe she is allergic to something. She will start burping some nasty smelling burps, which upset her stomach and then she has diarrhea and generally doesn t feel well for a day or 2. She says that it has been going on since she was little. I don t remember it happening too much when she was little, but thats what she thinks. Help please
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of intermittent belching and diarrhea which seems to be due to disturbance of the electrolytic balance of body leading to gastroenteritis. It could be due to parasitic infection and food allergy.
Need not to worry. You should eat light and non-spicy food and take fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. Take oral rehydrating solution as well. You should take plenty of fluids. Avoid intake of outside and hot, sharp and spicy food. I would suggest you consult a gastroenterologist for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe Ofloxacin and metrogyl combination medicine.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
