Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Intermittent Bouts Of Yellow Diarrhea In A Nursing Mother?
I have had occasional (2 days/week) bouts of yellow, soft, and sometimes very runny bouts of diarrhea. I literally have to run to bathroom. I am 8 months post partum and still breastfeeding. I have isolated all of the foods I eat and changed my diet and still cannot find the culprit. During this time, my milk supply dwindles, no matter how much I hydrate. What is wrong with me? Not on any meds but levothyroxine in am and vitamin in pm.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, most of the diarrhea are self limiting if not due to infection so no need to worry about this and take care for hydration and it will fine soon, if it is persistence then may need anti-biotic or anti-protozoa drugs, you may continue rest of the drug you are taking hope this information helps.
