What Causes Intermittent Dark Diarrhea And Abdominal Bloating?
I have had some bloating and diarrhea on and off for the past week. No fever and some very mild abdominal discomfort from the bloating. No major pains. Stool is brownish/yellow in color. Drinking water and urinating frequently. Urine is clear. Not sure if its something viral or infection or something else.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have intermittent dark diarrhea and abdominal bloating . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Irritable bowel syndrome , gastroenteritis , gas pains , food poisoning , constipation , giardiasis and viral gastroenteritis . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , blood test , andoscopy and take history . Doctor may prescribe lopramide , ornidazole , anti viral , albendazole along with laxative or omeprazole . For now eat light and non spicy take take 1-2 banana a day .
