What Causes Intermittent Fever, Excessive Sweating, Nausea And Lower Back Pain?
My brother, age 62, has been sick on and off for 3 weeks. He has fever, sweats (where bed and clothing are soaked) and a bit of nausea. This is intermitent, feel decent a couple of days and hits again. He has been to the ER, had cat scan and blood work, which showed bacterial infection. Been on strong antibiotics, still having problems. Had severe lower back pain at one time that subsided. He was bit by 3 ticks, in Texas, back in September, but no rash

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
