Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just came home from the doctor s because my 5 year old has been having fevers on and off for the past few months. They haven t been serious except for 1:30 this morning. He is going to run some tests and is concerned it could be something as simple as a UTI, or some immune disorder and something else that began with a M. She did break her tibia this May. And I can t for the life of me remember what the M is for, but did associate it with something of a cyst like / growth / mass… Do you know what it could be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have intermittent fever which could be due to bacterial/ viral infection and due to underlying medical condition. It could be due to poor immunity of body. I would suggest you to take combination of Ibuprofen and Tylenol as it is safe combination and you can take that for your present condition. Don't combine any medication like Aspirin, Naproxen with this combination at-least 8-12 hours of each other as it will cause GI bleed symptoms and ulceration. As fever is of high grade at times so you should do tepid sponging as well. Take diet rich in multivitamins, fruits and take multivitamin tablet as well to boost body immunity. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate yourself.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
