What Causes Intermittent Low Grade Fever With Swollen Tonsils?
Ive had low grade fever on and off for 3 weeks . I was given prendisone 2 times. And two different antibiotics , i was feeling better my last dose was sun . Now today i have my symptoms back swollen tonsil low grade fever .chest hurts not all the time xray and strep were neg
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have intermittent low grade fever with swollen tonsils which is due to infection and inflammation in tonsils known as tonsillitis. I would suggest you to get following investigations done such as
1) - Complete blood count 2) - Throat swab test 3)- Liver function test
You should visit general physician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Till then avoid intake of cold carbonated drinks. Avoid oily and fried food substances. Take combination of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. Do warm saline gargles daily.
