What Causes Intermittent Lower Groin Area While Walking?

For 5 years I have had on and off pain in lower right groin area whilst walking. I have had doctors examine me, physios and sports physicians and they all can't figure out what it would be, however, X-ray results showed a metal "something" in an odd place and we found out that my filshie clip migrated away from my right tube. I have not had it removed yet, but now I am going to do so. I read a LOT of comments about filshie clip dislodgement pain and I am wondering if this could and would most likely be the cause of my pains? I am VERY fit and feel far too young to not be able to walk or run normally without pain. Could I be correct on this diagnoses assumption (after many tests)?
