What Causes Intermittent Migraine And Sinus Headaches?
I just wondered what could potentially cause my issue. I suffer from migraines, sinus headaches and tension headaches. But occasionally (not often; maybe half a dozen times a year) I get severe head pains on my right side only that radiate between my my neck, ear, above and under my ear. When it occurs the pain is not constant, it comes and goes but it can last for days. When the pain hits it is sharp and it causes me to pause any movement to wait for the pain to go away. This is not new but I really want a diagnosis for treatment and management. I know how to manage my other head pains but this kind is so sharp and long lasting that I just want keel over. I end up taken almost all of the Aleve in a fresh bottle within 2 days. I need help! I have not seen a neurologist.
The first thing is to go ahead for an MRI of your head to rule out certain causes for such a presentation. Once more serious causes are ruled out an X-ray PNS should be conducted and migraine controlling medications like Triptans and propranolol should be initiated.
Best wishes
