For the past week I will get an intermittent light pain in my throat right below my adams apple when I inhale. Almost like a The pain is very light and it s not constant. I m guessing it has to do with allergies or something like that but I wanted to make sure it wasn t something more serious.
Thanks for asking at healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Pain in the throat below Adam's apple points towards four conditions. 1. Bacterial Pharyngitis 2. Viral/allergic pharyngitis 3. Traumatic pharyngitis 4. Deviated nasal septum As you are not febrile and you have no history over talking it is most likely viral or allergic. Both viral and allergic needs supportive therapy. I would like to advise you to have an Xray Paranasal sinuses to exclude Deviated nasal septum or hypertrophied inferior turbinate or nasal polyps as in nasal obstruction patient become chronic mouth breather that leads to throat irritation. Take plenty of fluids at least eight glasses of water per day, saline gargles two times, before going to bed and early in the morning before breakfast. Avoid dust, pollens, dust mites.
