General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
The symptoms you are experiencing, including chest pain, shoulder pain, left arm pain, carotid artery pain, fast heart rate, and shortness of breath, could be signs of a serious condition such as a heart attack or angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). Other possible causes could include anxiety, acid reflux, or musculoskeletal problems.
You should call your doctor or emergency services right away, and describe your symptoms in detail. They may recommend that you come in for further evaluation, including diagnostic tests such as an electrocardiogram (ECG) or blood tests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
