What Causes Intermittent Pain In Lower Abdomen And Back?
Hi, I have been experiencing lower left abdominal pain on and off for one week. Tonight after eating dinner it felt a bit more painful. I ve been having regular bowel movements and appetite. I also been having lower left side back pain and at times left leg discomfort. I have been contributing back and leg pain to my occupation of lifting babies all day. Any advice?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have intermittent pain in lower abdomen and back. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like celiac disease , endometriosis , kidney stones , ovarian cyst or urinary tract infection (UTI) I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , stool test and examine abdomen to check the direction of pain . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , antibiotics , analgesic or may refer you to nephrologist for kidney problem or urologist in case of URI . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain , eat light and non spicy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
