What Causes Intermittent Pain In The Back Of The Head?
I have pain from time to time in the back of my head that feels like is a sculp paint. I am 64 years old and have never had this kind of pain and symptoms before? I am taking maintanance medication relating to cancer (multiple myaloma). I wonder if this are symptoms relating to this medication, or something else.
Intermittent pain in the back of the head commonly occurs due to bad posture, stress or anxiety. Low pressure headache & tension headache is the most common cause however, occipital neuralgia has similar symptom. You have not mentioned what medicine you have been taking. Yes, some medicines do have side effects that can cause headache or body ache. You are suggested to get clinically assessed, get required tests done & treated at the earliest. Treatment commonly includes anti inflammatory medications, muscle relaxants & warm compress/ gentle massage. Get your eye sight checked you may need lens.
