What Causes Intermittent Pain In The Right Side Of The Throat?

Ok, it’s really hard for me to explain what am feeling but here it goes. For the past 4hours I get a sudden pain on the right side of my throat, kind of where you take your pulse at, it seems like a muscle. But it’s a pain that comes and goes. It only lasts about 10 -15 sec and about every 10-20min apart. When I do feel the pain it sudden, my shoulders go up and it seems like I cant relax them it almost feels like something thick is passing and as it goes down the paid is less and finally goes away. What could this be?
