What Causes Intermittent Pain In The Testicle?

My husband, age 60, has had some mild pain off and on in his right testicle. I made an appt for this Monday. Tonight he said the left testicle felt different. It was hanging lower and instead of one shape (hard ball) inside it feels like 2 sections connected- a large and small. Any concerns- there s no pain

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Usually, one testicle hangs lower than normal. It is normal. Right testis little bigger than left.

But until the examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Get it done, ultrasound scrotum, abdomen.

Probably he may be suffering from hydrocele or epididymitis or orchitis etc.

Avoid tight clothing, use painkillers.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
