What Causes Intermittent Pain On The Upper Quadrant With Bloating And Pale Stools?

I saw my GP last year with intermittent pain in my right upper quadrant. I am a 49 year old female and suspected gall stones. An ultrasound and CT revealed a right kidney hydronephrosis, no stones in GB or kidney, so probably congenital. I know that the kidney is the cause of pain as if I am given diuretics, it causes the pain. However, when I get this pain, I also get bloating, flatulence which smells acrid, and pale stools. I am confused as to how my kidney condition could cause these symtpoms. Any thoughts.
