Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Intermittent Pain Under The Lower Ribcage?
I have been experiencing pain that comes and goes on my right side lower rib area. It has been ongoing for approximately a month. has worsened over the last few days. not sure if its muscular or internal. I m active, recently played golf and was working in my yard (removing, raking damaged lawn). Also had bad stomach cramps that went away after a few bowel movements. (3 days ago..none since)
The symptoms seem to be related to a muscle strain. I recommend to use a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen. I also suggest to use magnesium supplements for muscle relaxation. Warm compresses can also be helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
