What Causes Intermittent Pains In Lower Abdomen Post C-section Surgery?

Hi i had a c section five month ago, and i am currently experiencing intermittent pains in my lower abdomen. at times it feels swollen on the inside and i fell alot of bearing down pressure, similar to the pressure pains pains when i was close to delivery. is this normal

Thanks for the query.

Are you having any white, foul discharge from the vagina ?

Usually there will be some pain and swelling for about a month after the surgery.

In your case the could be infection or dehiscence of the wound which needs to be ruled out.

Kindly consult your Obstetrician to rule out the sa by a thorough examination and ultrasound as necessary.

You can take over the counter pain killer like Ibuprofen 200mg twice a day for the pain.
