What Causes Intermittent Pulsating Pain In Toe?

My left big toe has intermittent pulsating pain. The pain only lasts several seconds and then is repeated about every thirty seconds. There is no other pain associated with movement, etc. Almost feels like a buzzing electric pulse. What might cause this?

Please check your uric acid, it seems to be gout, till than apply ice pack,take over the counter painkillers,apply diclofenac gel.
