What Causes Intermittent Raise In Heart Rate And High BP?

My 23 year old daughter is recently having episodes of fast heart rate and high blood pressure which she finds very frightening. She was prescribed a relaxing tablet before Xmas which she took for a week or two and helped her symptoms. In recent days her symptoms are more frequent with fast heart rate 130/140 and high BP 140/90 checked by her GP but after a hour or so these vital signs gradual return to normal. She is very fit and has a resting heart rate of about 66. She has lost some weight about 4 or 5 KGS since last October despite eating the same amount of food. She has a few loose bowel motions each day. She has had an ECG and echo all normal and thyroid function tests which are all normal. Tonight she went to an AE in a German Hospital and was told she may have a problem with her Adrenal gland.Last summer she got a few severe insect bites which caused severe inflammation and rash with tracking up her arm. She went to a Dr and got an antihistamine but no antibiotic. My question is if there may be any link between those bites and her current symptoms? Should she go now and have tests to determine if her adrenal glands are malfunctioning?
