What Causes Intermittent Seizures, Convolutions And Headache?

My husband-22 started having random seizures. Has seen a neurologist who said his CT scan and eeg are fine. Right before the seizure he gets really hot. He will pass out eyes roll back and convolutions. After he comes to he can get really angry and not remember it, then complains of lower chest pain and a headache. He hasn’t had any falls or hit on the head but tonight started coughing up blood. I’m at an end because every time we go into the er they automatically think drugs until the screens come back normal. The neurologist doesn’t want to start meds even though we’ve had 20+ seizures! What do I do??

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If the seizures are true, they need to be confirmed by a prolonged video EEG. If this examination confirms the seizures, treatment based on the type of the seizures should be started. You can get a second opinion by another Neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
