Hi, I have this problem happen to me a few time now. I have been sitting and all of a sudden I get this head rush. Almost feels like my brain moved or something like that. I feel slightly dizzy and a little lethargic afterwords.. What can this be? I made an appointment with my Primary Doctor for next weds. Is this something more serious that I should not wait on this?
Sudden headrush or dizziness while sitting is due to dehydration, low blood glucose, low BP, anemia, thyroid issues or vertigo.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get all blood tests, Urinalysis & Imaging tests done.
If it is due to vertigo your ENT will tell you to do Audiometry test & treat you with a course of vertin & other medicatins or suggest surgery depending on the severity of your condition.
Keep your vitals normal. Stay well hydrated, well fed. Take food rich in iron, calcium & minerals, etc.
Keep your blood glucose & blood pressure within normal limits. Avoid addictions if any & avoid driving for a couple of days while you are being treated. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
