General & Family Physician, Dr. Venkatesh's Response
hello dear, I understand your concern. The pain above the belly button, which happens when you are hungry most probably due to duodenal ulceration. You have to reduce spicy food, tea , coffee etc to reduce the ulceration. You may try drinking cold milk. Avoid very hot food. Eat at regular intervals and have small quantity of food rather than a bulk meal. You may try to take gastric acid blockers such as pantoprazole 40mg 1 tab in the mornings before food for reducing your gastric acid secretion. There are some other medicines as sucralfate for the duodenal ulceration. You discuss it with your treating doctor. Do not take much stress, because stress can aggravate the condition. Relax.Try doing meditation yoga etc to reduce your stress. Hope i Answered your question.Thank you
