What Causes Intermittent Sharp Pain Between Right Elbow And Shoulder?

Several times an hour, off and on for the last three days, I will have a sharp pain in my right elbow. It only lasts for a second or so, but about 4 or 5 seconds later my whole upper arm between my elbow and my shoulder is extremely painful for at least another 5 or 6 seconds. The pain is any where between a 6 and an 8. at times it even feels like a fracture and then it is fine. I always get a warning as it where so I know when the big pain will come.

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
what is ur age? For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? Any history of trauma ? have u engaged in any strenous physical activities???
as far as pain which u have described it appear to be a muscular in origin. i dont think it is due to fracture . if u are really concerned you should consult ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON so that you can be examined properly. you may need to get X RAY of your affected arm
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain. try to avoid any rigorous physical activity. dont massage your arm until it is being advice by your docor
