Hello,

Some more details would be needed. As you have been planned for hysterectomy, I suppose a USG abdomen was done.

What is the reason for the hysterectomy? Fibroid uterus can cause lower abdominal pain. Did you have an ovarian cyst? Larger sized ovarian cyst can also cause abdominal pain.

Are you a diabetic or hypertensive? Are your bowel habits regular? Any history of Constipation? Any problem during urination like increasing frequency or burning?

As of now I can just suggest you to do a Urine routine examination test. An underlying urinary tract infection can cause lower abdominal pain and discomfort, more so in females.

Painkillers may not always help to deal with an underlying pain without knowing the exact cause of the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ayusmati Thakur
