What Causes Intermittent Sharp Radiating Chest Pain?
I have sharp radiating chest pain from time to time that usually lasts between 15-45 minutes. I think it might be because of stress levels. I am currently 215lbs and 5-11 male. I think it is some kind of Angina. I smoked for about 15 years but haven t smoked in 5 years. I am 35 years old and this chest pain started about a year ago. My question is can I reduce the chest pain by getting my weight down to a reasonable 170lbs, start an exercise program and eat a medditeranian diet?

I would advise you to consult a chest physician or an cardiologist for detailed check up and battery of tests like EKG stress test and echocardiography if need be, to rule out heart disease
Another possibility is pleural effusion ( collection of fluid in the coverings of the lung) or chest wall disease and acid reflux
So you should rule out all possible conditions one by one starting with a cardiologist and gastroenterologist You should avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food Have lots of fresh fruit and steamed vegetables Exercise regularly
