What Causes Intermittent Stabbing Pain At The Back Of Knee?
I have a hot, sharp, stabbing pain in my left leg behind my knee. It comes on quick. Very painful. It has happened lying down, standing up and sitting down. No recent injury. It goes away as quick as it comes and it happens about twice a week. WEIRD! It has been going on for about 1 and a half months. Any info would help. Thanks Kelly
A physical examination will be pivotal with such a presentation. A bursa could be possible, ligament damage or even muscular injury or venous thrombosis. All these are purely assumptions and so I recommend a physical examination.
Best wishes
