What Causes Intermittent Unilateral Pain In The Head And Ear?

Hi- I have had an intermittent pain on the top right side of my head. Sometimes touching my right ear triggers it. I can feel the sensitivity of it when I touch it. I remember having this when I tried a new C4 pre workout drink. I only took it 1 time and then stopped and so did the pain. I tried another pre workout drink a week ago and didn t notice anything until a few days later. I stopped taking it for a day now and I still have the intermittent pain.

Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
