What Causes Intermittent Upper Abdominal Discomfort After Taking Tylenol?

I m having mild upper abdominal discomfort it comes and goes, it feels better if I belch or pass gas or go to the bathroom. Drinking ginger ale also helps. I m not constipated or nauseous. It started 2 days ago after taking Tylenol sinus medication with the c Cool burst coating. I don t know what else I can take that will make it go away.

Hello Dear. You have developed gastritis after taking tylenol. You need to follow few tips to avoid gastritis after taking medicines like tylenol.

1. Do not eat spicy food
2. Take medications without fail as prescribed by your doctor. Or if not visited doctor for gastritis you can take over the counter tablets like pantop or omez one per day on empty stomach daily morning and mucaine gel 5ml three times a day before food
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm
4. Drink plenty of water
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis
7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day
8. Learn meditation techniques
