What Causes Intermittent Vaginal Spotting While Using Nuvaring?

Hi. I m using nuvaring as my birth control. I ve been spotting off and on the last couple days and today actually had more blood on my pantie liner. I m not due for my period for almost two weeks. Should I leave the ring in until I m supposed to or should I remove it early?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Yes. One of the side effects experienced by few women using NuvaRing is spotting and light bleeding. It is advised not to stop using it as these symptoms will go away.
However if you experience these symptoms repeatedly with heavy bleeding and painful menstrual periods, get evaluated by Gynecologist.
