What Causes Intermittent Vaginal Spotting With Clots?

I went to the bathroom and wiped, and there is blood with small tiny clots, I figured it was period so I placed a pad. There was very little blood on it when I d go check. Only when I wiped it would be a fair amount. A week and a half later, same thing happened. What is it? I ve heard implantation bleeding.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In my opinion, it is better to get a urinary pregnancy test done to confirm pregnancy after which you can consult a gynecologist.

Implantation bleeding is quite likely (usually accompanied by spotting pink or brown dots) if the person has been sexually active.

However, otherwise, other causes of spotting in a sexually inactive person can also happen like hormonal imbalances causing problems in menstrual history for which it is best to consult a gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Riyanka Chail, General & Family Physician
