What Causes Intermittent Warm Spots On My Foot?

I am 51 years old (female) and have been having intermittent warm spot on the top of my right foot. A couple times it happened while I was driving and I thought the car was overheating, but then I started noticing it other random times. It's been going on for a few weeks.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Increased warmth can be related to trauma, infections or altered nerve function or structure.
In the absence of any history of trauma or any additional symptoms pointing to infection (redness, discharge, persistent warmth, swelling) then it is likely the symptoms are nerve related.

There are different possible causes for altered nerve related sensation such as :(1)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(2)trauma
(3)toxin exposure
(4)diabetes
(5)stroke, MS or other neurological diseases
(6)kidney or liver disease
(7) idiopathic- cause not known

If the symptoms continue or worsen, then you should consider visiting your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
