Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Bleeding from penis that persisted for 15 minutes indicates urethral injury. Kindly consult a urologist, as this may need a urethroscopy to assess the extend of injury. If deeper, this will need urinary diversion via catheter for few days to prevent urine leaking inside and promote healing, along with antibiotics to prevent secondary infection. Also, there is a small chance of later stenosis.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
