General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms may be due to any inflammatory / infectious cause of colon or rectum. Ulcerative colitis may be one of the possibility. Any benign or malignant neoplasia / polyps may be one of many reasons. You are advised to go for a colonoscopy to confirm / rule out the cause and also for the biopsy from any suspected lesions to know the pathology of the lesion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
