What Causes Intra-uterine Growth Retardation?

A month ago I found out I was pregnant and during what would have been my first trimester I smoked meth never knowing I was pregnant trying to lose weight not eating I m suppose to be 6 months but baby n uterus r small so my doctor says I m 21 weeks he says she small is she small due to what I did I stopped evem before I found out I m pregnant

It's ok; what happens in past, it's possible no effects of that but other nutrients or hormones effected or it's due to meth as varies results in individual to individual, don't even try now! Take good follow up from gynecologist, complete schedule of iron, folic, B12 etc., and USG as follows.
