What Causes Involuntary Bending Of The Fingers?

Yes. Hi. I am a 46 year old female and my fingers are starting to bend. My two index fingers and my left middle finger are like that. I can not seem to get them to straighten all the way out and it feels like my hands are itching towards my palm. They actually hurt. What can I do about this? When I told my doctor he said he had a blood work done up that came back negative for arthritis.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Since arthritis has been eliminated another probable cause is a trigger finger.Trigger finger occurs when the affected finger's tendon sheath becomes irritated and inflamed. This interferes with the normal gliding motion of the tendon through the sheath and may cause pain.Even though no particular testing available for this condition, i will suggest you get the impression of your Doctor on it.
Treatment options may include: pain medications, heat/ice pack placement, a splint or stretching exercises, steroid injections or surgery.
Hope this will help you
