What Causes Involuntary Constant Opening Of Eyes Widely In A Child?

My 4 year old has been involuntarily (it seems) been opening his eyes wide briefly, sometimes looking out the left side. If he s happy, smiling and the eye thing happens, he simultaneously becomes straight-faced. It only happens for a moment, but yet is frequent. Why is he doing it?

I have understand your concern

with the history given but you I'm suspecting absence seizures in your child , seen in children and lasts for a brief movement.

I can suggest you to get done
1.EEG
2.CT brain

consult the neurologist with the above reports and he needs medications
