What Causes Involuntary Head Shaking And Soreness In Neck?

I started with head shaking a few years ago. was always worse when felt sick or had not been sleeping well. My neck is sore also and got quite bad last while so started getting neck messages which made it better but pain in the neck got worse last while so started doing neck stretches and exercises, now the shaking is getting worse as am trying to hold my head differently than before. my head wants to go back and to a side all the time and am trying hard to hold it straight and more forward and this causes the head shaking to get worse. should I be concerned about this? It shakes most of the time now only short periods it dosent. My husband says he does not think it shakes more than it used to. I feel like it does.
