What Causes Involuntary Movements In A Child Post Bouts Of Strep Infections?
Hello, my 6 1/2 year old son has suddenly developed involuntary tics/ movements. It seems to have coincided with three bouts of strep infections that were being transmitted between my daughter and son. Each time he was treated but he got a 4th bout right now and was put on low dose penicillin to prevent any damage from any possible rheumatic fever that they were unable to conclusively diagnose. We will be seeing an infectious disease specialist next week. However, I would like to know if there have been any documented links of involuntary movements with the Coxsackie virus since my nanny s teenage son was diagnosed with that about almost two months ago and still suffers from it (he is losing all his nails) right now.
