What Causes Involuntary Movements In Mouth After Having Abilify?
When I was on abilify before I developed some exagerated mouth movements but they were not uncontrolable. I stopped taking it because I thought it might be indicative of tardif dyskinesia. Do you think it was? When I had taken it for a while I told my friends it changed my life. I was alsoon Cymbalta, both of them for deprssion. Now I am taking it again because the ant-depression meds alone don t work. Thank you, from Sandi
Abilify is a newer antipsychotic drug less likely to cause Tardive dyskinesia. Tardive dyskinesia is caused by older antipsychotic drugs and that too it is a very late onset reaction characterized by abnormal movements.
The adverse effects seen in your case are due to difficulty with speech, drooling and muscle spasm.
I hope I tried to answer your query. Regards!
