its been over a month that i have experience my tongue twisting involuntary? which i never had this problem before i have diabetics 2 i hae blood pressure i have L4 and L5 hernia disc. R leg knee 2 operations1 was for minuscus 2nd was cartilage, this are my issue of health i do take medications also;Lamotrigine25mg/potassium/valsartan320 mg/hydrochlorothiazide 50mg/metformin 1000mg/sumatriptan succ 50mg/acarbose 25mg/unifine pentips 32gx4mm/zolpidem/novolog mix 70-30/amlodipine besylate 10mg/famotidine/spironolactone 25mg/well this are my meds.can you tell me why do i experience this affects?
Hello, Thanks for the query, The symptoms occur due to condition known as Tardive dyskinesia is a neurological disorder consisting of abnormal, involuntary body movements caused by certain medicines.
The factors most commonly associated with tardive dyskinesia include:-
Consult your doctor / neurosurgeonfor for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like bell's palsy . or to findout if there is any drug that is causing problem.
Doctor may give Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections , which is known to be very effective in this case
